2-day Private Loire Castles & Wine tastings trip by Minivan from Tours

This is a Private Experience. The description below is a basic itinerary which can be customised. We pick up all clients from Hotels and AirBNB in Paris (included), from Paris suburbs (reasonable surcharge). We can pick you up as well from the Airport or Railway station in accordance with our itinerary.

09:30 Pick-up from Railway station in Tours. Departure to Chateau Chaumont. It take 1 hour (45 km)

10:30 - 12:00 Visit of the Chateau de Chaumont Sur Loire. The castle Château de Chaumont was founded in the 10th century and rebuilt in the 15th century by Charles I d'Amboise. Protected as a monument historique since 1840, the château became the French state ownership and is now open to the public. Catherine de Medici forced in 1559 Diane de Poitiers, to accept the Château de Chaumont in exchange for the Château de Chenonceau. Diane de Poitiers spent here last 3 years of her life.

12:00 Departure to Amboise city. It take 25 minutes (20 km).

12:30 - 14:00  Lunch time in Amboise. We make a good restaurant reservation.

Departure for Wine tastings to Domaine Huet: 11 Rue de la Croix Buisée, 37210 Vouvray. It takes about 20 minutes (18 km) to reach the Domaine.

14:20 to 15:40  Wine Tasting at the Domaine Huet. You will learn how wines have been made for centuries and have afterwords the wine tasting of local wines with explanations. 

15:40 Departure to Amboise city. It takes 20 minutes (19 km).

16:00 - 17:20  Visit of Chateau d’Amboise with Histopad explaining to You the history of this Castle and of each room. Amboise is the grand 15th-century residence of King Charles VIII and an example of the transition of Gothic to Renaissance architecture. Learn the history of the castle Amboise which is known as birth place of princes, the reign of Kings, and the death of the greatest Renaissance master, Leonardo Da Vinci! You can see the chapel with his grave.

17:20 Walking to Leonardo da Vinci Chateau Clos Luce. It is just 400 meters away. 

17:30 - 18:45 Visit of Leonardo da Vinci Chateaux Clos Luce with Parc. In this castle Leonardo da Vince spent last three years of his life. Clos Luce is of top 100 extraordinary destinations to explore 2021 by time magazine.

19:00 Hotel accommodation.

08:30 Departure from Your hotel to Chenonceau castle. It takes max. half an hour drive.

09:00 - 11:00 Arrival at the Chenonceau castle. Visit of Chateau de Chenonceau. Time to enjoy the Castle and walking around the Castle taking pictures. Chenonceau is nicknamed the "ladies’ castle", remarkable for its feminine history of famous women of France such as Catherine de Medici as well as for its stunning architecture as well as unique aches over the River Cher.

11:00 Departure from the Chateau de Chenonceau castle destination Clos Rugeard. It takes about 1 hour 20 min (115 km)

12:30 - 14:00 Arrival in Saumur. Lunch time.

14:00 Departure to CLos Rougerard.

14:15 - 15:30 Wine tasting CLos Rougerard.

15:30 Departure to Domaine Guiberteau.

15:45 - 17:00 Wine tasting in Domaine Guiberteau.

17:00 Departure to Paris. It takes 3,5 hours (330 km)

20:30 Coming back to Paris. Drop off at Your hotel.
