This club, cocated in Le Meridien Etoile hotel, has held mythical status on Paris’s jazz scene for four decades. Many jazz and blues legends have passed through its doors. Recently refurbished, it merges vintage with modern. 200 seats and curved stage are just the right size for a jazz club.

Jazz Café Montparnasse
The concerts take place every day, Monday to Saturday from 9 p.m. (from 8 p.m. on Mondays for Lundis Chanson).
The best way to take advantage of the place is undoubtedly to dine there:
- Dinner + Concert formula offered allowing you to listen to the musicians in the best conditions of comfort and visibility (seating in the room facing the stage), while being giving pleasure around a beautiful and good table. The people who dine are placed in the large room facing the stage. From Tuesday to Saturday, we offer a Dinner + Concert formula from € 55 per person (3-course menu, excluding drinks). The service is open from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Concert + Drink formula. However, it is also possible to attend the concerts while enjoying a glass of wine or one of the many cocktails offered, thanks to the Concert + Drink formula. Those who do not wish to dine can thus sit down, depending on availability, at the bar or in the surrounding areas. The Concert + Drink formula starts at € 20 per person.
- Lundis Chanson (Monday evenings). For Lundis Chanson, entry is free, and a light meal menu is available (boards).
La Cave du 38 Riv
The 38 Riv Jazz club is an intimate venue tucked away inside a XII th century vaulted cellar with original medieval stonework and located on the right bank of the Seine. Cave du 38 Riv is a “proper” jazz club from the 1950s/60s located in the heart of Marais.
The club hosts a wide range of jazz, Brazilian and traditional Baroque music concerts as well as more spontaneous jazz and funk jamming sessions. You might also hear big band swing, bebop, hardbop, modern, or bossa nova music.
Today most jazz clubs are at street level, so it’s quite special to find one that’s underground. There is no stage, so the audience is right up close to the band which lends it a friendly and sociable air.
Cav du 38 Riv is made up of two adjoining caverns (one for the music and one for the bar) with stonework giving it a medieval feel.
On Friday and Saturday nights there is a late jam – starting at midnight and swinging through till 4am.
There are also amateur jazz sessions to help develop the talents of budding young players. The central location of this venue is perfect, it’s only a few blocks from Notre Dame Cathedral.
